The 2026 Gathering of Native Americans event (GONA) is a blended learning experience designed to strengthen facilitation skills and support individuals in becoming effective change agents within their communities and organizations. Held May 18–21, 2026 at Urban Rez Courts in Haslett, MI, the program includes self-paced modules, a live virtual seminar, a digital toolkit, and a 3.5-day immersive practicum, with options for both foundational online learning and full facilitator certification.

Event Details
Trainees who complete the program gain access to digital and printed resources, including handouts, templates, PowerPoint presentations, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to participate in learning communities.
#1 — Gain access to Online Self-Paced Learning Modules, which will be available in early April. These modules are designed to be completed at your own pace, offering guided instruction to prepare you for the in-person training. It’s important to note that completing these modules is required before attending the face-to-face training.
#2 — Mark your calendar for the Live Online Session scheduled for May 11, 2026. This session will run from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. (EST) and will provide valuable insights and interactive discussions. Stay tuned for the link to join the online event, which will be shared soon. Additionally, the session will be recorded and made available for download.
#3 — Immerse yourself in the Face-to-Face training taking place from May 18 to May 21, 2026. Held at Urban Rez Courts, 8416 Old M-78, Haslett, MI 48840, this training will offer hands-on learning and collaborative experiences to enhance your skills and knowledge further. Yes, the self-paced is vital component to get trainee ready for the face-to-face training. The live seminar scheduled for May 11, 2026 will be an important element to help folks get ready for onsite training.

Meals are on your own. We will provide refreshments in the morning. We will also provide a list of local restaurants.
