The Gathering of Native Americans event (GONA) is an immersive training experience that will enhance your facilitation skills and help you become an effective change agent for your community or organization. This package will consist of three different portions, complete with self-paced online learning modules, a live online session, and 4 days of in-person training.
Online Session October 1 + Live Sessions October 7-10, 2024
Event Details
#1 — Gain access to Online Self-Paced Learning Modules, which will be available in early September. These modules are designed to be completed at your own pace, offering guided instruction to prepare you for the in-person training. It’s important to note that completing these modules is required before attending the face-to-face training.
#2 — Mark your calendar for the Live Online Session scheduled for October 1, 2024. This session will run from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. (EST) and will provide valuable insights and interactive discussions. Stay tuned for the link to join the online event, which will be shared soon. Additionally, the session will be recorded and made available for download.
#3 — Immerse yourself in the Face-to-Face training taking place from October 7 to October 10, 2024. Held at The Davis Nature Pavilion, Fenner Nature Center, Lansing, MI 48910, this training will offer hands-on learning and collaborative experiences to enhance your skills and knowledge further. These daily trainings are expected to last from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Stay tuned for the timeframes.
Additional Benefits: Trainees who complete the program gain access to digital and printed resources, including handouts, templates, PowerPoint presentations, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to participate in learning communities.

Is the online self-paced and live seminar required?
Yes, the self-paced is vital component to get trainee ready for the face-to-face training. The live seminar will be an important element to help folks get ready for onsite training.

Are meals provided at the training?
Meals are on your own. We will provide refreshments in the morning. We will also provide a list of local restaurants.
